Who is Beth Cordingly and when will she join Emmerdale? | The Sun

EMMERDALE is known for bringing in actors from other soaps, much to viewers' delight.

So fans were thrilled when The Sun exclusively revealed that former The Bill star Beth Conrdingly had joined the long-running ITV series.

Who is Beth Cordingly and what TV shows has she been in?

Born on October 25, 1976, in Brighton, Beth Cordingly is an actress best known for starring in The Bill.

Fans will remember she played PC Kerry Young in the long-running show from 2002 to 2004.

Away from The Bill, Beth has also starred in two Charlie Brooker shows.

She played Veronica in his zombie series Dead Set, and also featured in his sketch show, How TV Ruined Your Life with Kevin Eldon.

On December 6, 2023, The Sun exclusively revealed how Beth had signed up to star in Emmerdale – and her character is set to cause chaos in the Dales,

The actress plays Caleb Miligan’s estranged wife Ruby Fox-Miligan.

A source told The Sun: “Ruby is going to prove more than a match for her husband Caleb as she arrives in the village.

“Her relationship with Caleb is infused with intense passion that manifests itself as the ultimate volatile relationship. 

“Ruby is a character who pulls no punches and always makes an impression.

"We're delighted to welcome Beth to the show and we're sure she'll make a wonderful addition to the village.”

Emmerdale boss Laura Shaw previously teased: "We’ve heard mention of Nicky’s mum and Caleb’s wife and we’ve just heard little bits from Caleb where’s he’s kind of said it’s all over between them and there’s nothing going on – but is that really true?

"In the new year we will see Ruby bursting onto our screens.

"She’s going to be an absolute firecracker. She’s going to put a real spanner into the Dingles.

"Is her and Caleb’s relationship really as over as he’s made out?"

Is Beth Cordingly married and does she have children?

Beth is married to stage director Adam Speers, who she wed in 2011.
