Bradley Walsh ‘That was one of the best final I’ve seen’
Bradley Walsh was stunned after an intense final on Tuesday night’s instalment of The Chase. During the episode, ITV fans saw four contestants go head-to-head with Mark ‘The Beast# Labbett.
The quizzer was impressed with the team early on as they all managed to earn high amounts in the cash builder round. Three contestants managed to secure a total of £20,000 into the cash pot.
The fourth contestant decided to take a -£4,000 offer and managed to get back to the table. This meant the team were now playing for a combined total of £16,000.
After choosing their set, the team correctly answered 22 questions and set a high target for Mark to beat. However, things got even harder for the chaser when he answered his first question wrong, giving the team an extra step.
With 23 questions to answer in a total of two minutes, the pressure was on as Mark loosened his tie to prepare for the final. After a few setbacks, the chaser was unable to match the team’s high target.

Mark replied: “Well, the important thing was they played really well and made it a great challenge.
“Normally, the percentage play is to play like Anne [Hegerty] which is to try not to make mistakes and don’t worry about the time.
