Emmerdale: Harry revealed as Chloe’s dad
Emmerdale fans were all left saying the same thing after Monday’s episode of the ITV soap. It came as Charles Anderson (played by Kevin Mathurin) jumped in to defend Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter) after her son Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller) accused her of being a bad mother.
After fiercely sticking up for Chas, many believe Charles could be the next man involved in an affair plot with Chas, whose marriage broke down last year when she cheated on husband Paddy Kirk (Dominic Brunt).
“I thought you might need a friendly ear,” the vicar stated as he followed a stressed-out Chas.
“I’m fine, I just overreacted that’s all,” she replied.
“You didn’t, he was out of order,” Chas told her, referring to a spat she had been in at the bar.

“Why are you blaming yourself?” Charles asked, before adding: “Want to talk about it? I’m a pretty good listener.”
“I’m lonely,” Chas admitted, continuing: “Ever since me and Paddy split up I’ve felt lost, helpless.
“It’s like he’s left this massive hole in my life and I can’t fill it.”
When the subject of Aaron came up, Charles commented: “He shouldn’t have talked to you the way he did yesterday”.

Later, a furious Aaron burst in with Chas’ young daughter, Eve Dingle, who had needed to be picked up from school but Chas hadn’t had her phone on her.
“You don’t deserve to be a mother,” he raged, as Charles chimed: “Hang on a minute.”
“I should’ve known there would be a man involved,” Aaron went on.
He added: “She’s managed to reel you in, vicar. Looks like your missus might have something to worry about.”
Charles followed Aaron down to the bar, demanding he apologise to Chas.
Following the scene, fans began to think Aaron could have been right that the pair could soon start an affair.
Taking to X, plenty of viewers all made the same prediction, with @DannyMFansite writing: “Charles was way OTT [there] though, yeah he’s got a thing for Chas, why else would he react like that if not, he got way too invested too quickly and views himself as her knight in shining armour & saviour. #emmerdale.” (sic)
@CFCVik added: “Brilliant acting from Aaron. Only real interesting character atm, Chas and Charles belong to each other #Emmerdale.”
“So I had to ff through Chas and Al now I’m doing the same for Chas and Charles,” a6rice penned.
@SussexGal1978 shared: “I’m sorry but I’m on Aaron’s side here… It’s none of Charles’s business! Chas is going to have yet another affair… Making Aaron justified in way he is with her @emmerdale #emmerdale.”
@Jamal06122771 added: “Aaron was thinking just what I was thinking. I just hope am wrong. Chas and Charles no, no no. #emmerdale.”
@aaron_dingles commented: “The fact that Aaron is predicting exactly what is going to happen between Chas and Charles. I hope he’s the first to find out about their affair and throws it back in their faces #emmerdale.”
Emmerdale continues on Tuesday at 7.30pm on ITV.
