Emmerdale Amy attacked as Chloe is nowhere to be seen while tensions rise

The tension is rising in Emmerdale next week as Amy, Mack and Matty fail to see eye to eye over the Chloe and Reuben saga.

Next week, Matty continues to hide the truth about Chloe and Reuben from Mack which causes tension. But despite the family dynamic being evidently rocky, Moira wants a big family Christmas and pressures Matty to convince Amy to join.

But Mack struggles with the idea of sitting around a Christmas dinner table with Amy. He also dislikes the idea of pretending to be happy while grieving his missing son.

Later on, another heated argument erupts between Matty and Amy and soon Matty cracks and tells Mack that he and Amy are visiting Chloe and Reuben the next day. Holding back his anger, Mack darkly processes this new information.

Once the news has registered, Mack rushes round to see Charity, fired-up with hope and a plan to get his son back. The next day, Mack and Charity covertly follow Amy’s car as it leaves the village.

But when they get stuck at some temporary traffic lights, Matty’s horrified and Amy’s furious to spot Mack and Charity following behind them.

With Mack becoming increasingly frustrated over Amy’s unwillingness to tell him where his son is, he takes drastic measures and snatches her phone out of her hand. He then quickly plans to lure Chloe to a meet-up by pretending to be her sister.

Soon, an oblivious Chloe is excited as she prepares Reuben to meet Amy in a nearby park. But she quickly realises that something isn't right when a careless word from Mackenzie in a text leads suspicious Chloe to understand that she’s walking into a trap.

Chole sends a reply telling Mack he’ll never see his son again. This causes Mack's despair to turn to fury.

Meanwhile, Amy shames Mack for isolating vulnerable Chloe even further. When Matty accuses Mack of destroying his relationship with Amy, Mack’s sarcastic response prompts Matty to viciously punch him.

Mack’s left in turmoil and just like Chloe, Amy also hopes he’ll never see Reuben again. After angry Amy blames him for leaving Chloe isolated, alone and on the run, stricken Matty heads off in defeat, believing their relationship is over.

Later on Amy’s startled when a hooded figure grabs her unexpectedly. But who could the person be?
