BBC EastEnders viewers are praising the “iconic” scenes that aired during Monday’s episode (August 28) as Cindy Beale had an all-out brawl with Kathy Beale just minutes into the episode.
As Cindy finally returned after a 25-year break from the square, viewers were left stunned as she paid a visit to her mother-in-law Kathy Beale (Gillian Taylforth).
It wasn't long until the pair were throwing insults at each other, after Cindy explained she has been in France with her son Ian and grandson Peter.

The two went head-to-head in a war of words before Kathy planted a slap on Cindy’s face.
Cindy returned the favour as she went on to push Cindy to the ground as she called her “a bi**h”.
A fuming Kathy accused Cindy of being a bad mother for not doing her time in prison and missing her children growing up.
She then asked if Peter stole her money to give to Cindy and branded her a "money-grabbing tart."
Cindy also shared some harsh words recalling the time when Kathy faked her death as part of an insurance claim plan for her family.
She shouted at Kathy for always putting herself first resulting in Ben being a "psycho."
BBC viewers were utterly stunned at the violent scenes.
Taking to social media, one said: "Omg these Cindy & Kathy scenes are everything those slaps were epic."

After the two manage to find peace with one another, Cindy insists on offering her help to Kathy delivering some food to the Queen Vic, where Anna’s 21st birthday party is being held.
Unbeknownst to Cindy, she’s about to walk in and see her entire family.
Ian pulls up in a cab as she walking into the pub, desperate to hide the truth from her and take her back to Spain.
But George comes outside the pub and the two catch eye, with Cindy dropping the trays of food in utter shock.
Fans praised the dramatic scenes
‘Oh that was edge of the seat stuff. I was completely wrong about Cindy's return being a bad idea for a plot. I am still not convinced about the Knights being in the Vic and overshadowing Linda, but the story of returning Cindy had it all #EastEnders,” one fan gushed.
“KATHY VS CINDY!!!! THE CATFIGHT OF THE YEAR WE’VE ALL BEEN WAITING FOR,” said another.
A third penned: “OMG @bbceastenders totally HOOKED….ICONIC!”
