Holly Willoughby reached out to Phillip Schofield to try and heal the relationship between them after he left ITV.
The This Morning presenter, 42, aimed to mend the broken ties with her co-host after he dramatically left the show in May. Initially leaving due to pressure of a feud between the pair, Phillip admitted to having an affair with a much younger colleague.
After the debacle, Phillip, 61, fully left the broadcaster as he tried to save the remainder of his career. He later said in an interview with the BBC's Amol Rajan that the incident with the colleague was "unwise but not illegal".

Holly took time off the show to look after her family and mental health and returned to This Morning after spring half-term, presenting the show with a variety of hosts as ITV bosses scramble for a new permanent co-presenter for Willoughby.
Now, the former ITV titan has reached out himself to Holly, after she was the target of an alleged plot to kidnap and kill her. A source close to Phillip revealed to The Sun: "She was concerned about the toll his departure from ITV had taken on him.
"He has now reached out to her after hearing about the incident. She was really happy to hear from him," the source continued.
Gavin Plumb, 36, has been charged with plotting to kidnap and murder the TV host and is also accused of hiring a 'hitman' to help. The Essex man is also alleged to have made a restraint kit as part of the plan to abduct and murder the presenter.
Since police went public with the kidnap plot, Holly has been flooded with messages of support. It is expected that she will not be presenting This Morning for weeks, after she ditched a red carpet event in London on Sunday night (October 8).
Monday's edition of This Morning was hosted by Josie Gibson and Craig Doyle. Bosses have been trying to fill Phil's spot on the show with a string of relief presenters, with Good Morning Britain host Ben Shephard tipped as the favourite to take Schofield's place.
