You can get some absolute steals when buying on online marketplace Depop – but there is a lot of rubbish out there too.
And one woman's item seemed to fall into the second category after she tried to disguise what it really was.
The woman had taken to the app to sell what she claimed to be a 'clutch bag'. However, she was quickly rumbled when one person pointed out what it really was.

Despite this, the lady seemed undeterred, and had a quick comeback on hand for the fellow app user who made the discovery.
The story of the bag has been shared over on X (formerly Twitter), on popular account @dmdramaa. The account shares screenshots from "dramatic buying and selling DMs", and this latest one was certainly full of chaos.
It included a picture of the 'clutch bag', which was black leather with silver detailing on it. The item had been listed under 'bags' and it stated it was 'brand new'.
The seller was clearly hoping to make a lot of money from it as they'd put up an asking price of £45. However, someone who'd seen the advert was quick to call them out over the deception about what the 'bag' really was.
A screenshot of their conversation saw the potential buyer write: U do realise this is a Renault log book wallet and not a clutch [sic]."
However, the seller didn't seem embarrassed that they'd been caught out, as they blunted replied: "And what."

Seemingly annoyed by the response they'd got, the potential buyer hit back: "Just that it's false advertising – your description says it's a clutch bag and it's clearly not." However, the seller just told the person they had 'too much time on their hands'.
The post has since gone viral – racking up more than 817,000 views. Many have also taken to the comments section, with some people even admitting they'd buy it.
"To be honest it’s kinda cute," exclaimed one person, while another added: "I wanna get it just so I can be friends with the seller. Iconic."
"This is definitely something my mum would buy me," added a third social media user, while a fourth asked: "I mean, why not?"
Despite this, some seemed shocked at the high price, as one person exclaimed: "For £45 lol."
