It comes as no surprise that JAY-Z is an avid Patek Philippe fan. There have been many times where the prolific billionaire rapper-turned-entrepreneur has been spotted repping an eye-catching PP on his wrist.
Recently at Beyoncé‘s RENAISSANCE show in Houston, the supportive husband wore a dazzling rose-gold Grand Complication Celestial Ref. 6102R. He was spotted wearing the otherworldly wrist piece in Teyana Taylor‘s Instagram post. In the past, Hov has been spotted wearing a platinum version of the Celestial Ref. 6102P at the Super Bowl LIV. Earlier this year, JAY also stepped out in two extremely rare Patek Philippe watches including the perpetual calendar chronograph Ref. 5004 and in gold Ref. 2499. At the Grammys in February, he wore the Grandmaster Chime.
Beyoncé’s husband was seen flexing with the $331,180 USD timepiece in the Instagram post with Taylor. The singer and actress wrote, “Renaissance in H-Town hit different! Bey did her f*ckin big one!” The photos appear to be taken backstage at the NRG Stadium. The Celestial pays homage to the company’s longstanding history of astronomical pocket watches. The watch worn by JAY-Z features a 44mm rose-gold case and a black sapphire-crystal dial that shows a rotating chart of the heavenly bodies. At any given time, the wearer can look down on the face of the watch and see an exact image of the night sky in the Northern Hemisphere. The dial also shows the orbital position and phase of the Moon along with two skeltonized hands that point to the hours and minutes. A white hand with red crescent tip indicates the date on the periphery. Due to the watch’s complexity, Patek has a place on its website to show just how to set it. The watch is powered by the 240 LU CL C caliber. This is not the only version of the Celstial he has. On top of the platinum version, he also has a blinged out 120 baguette-cut diamonds edition of the Ref. 6104R.
