Strictly's Shirley Ballas, 62, 'feeling fabulous' as she sizzles in bikini haul

Shirley Ballas shared a message of body positivity as she tried out a slew of bikinis and swimwear in her back garden ahead of Strictly Come Dancing 2023.

The judge, 62, said she was ‘feeling fabulous’ as posted pictures of herself in a black and white floral and multicoloured halter neck two pieces, as well as a vibrant blue and navy swimming costume on her Instagram.

The dancer captioned the post: ‘Feeling fabulous in my @fantasie_lingerie bikinis #gifted. inspired by the beautiful @motsimabuse.

‘I’m on my way to feeling healthy and embracing my authentic self. I’m juicing each day, I’m loving my @hotpodyogadulwich in the mornings and I’m taking time to relax with my mum after my Skyathlon.

‘A reminder for you all to love yourself and your bodies no matter what others say or how hard it may be. Your body is your home that carries you through this journey called life. (sic).’

It comes after Shirley completed a series of extreme tasks, including riding the world’s fastest zipline, wing walking 700ft in the air and plunging 13,000ft from the sky, in support of suicide prevention charity Campaign Against Living Miserably (Calm).

Shirley was raising money for Calm in honour of her late brother David, who took his own life in 2003.

‘I’ve done it for everybody out there who has lost a loved one, or anybody who’s living miserably, and for my brother David and my student that just passed a couple of weeks ago, age 38. I’m glad I went through with it,’ she said

Shirley will be preparing for the upcoming series of Strictly Come Dancing after the line-up was revealed.

Taking to the ballroom this year will be Paralympic champion Jody Cundy and former British number one tennis player Annabel Croft as well as BBC Asian Network’s Breakfast Show host Nikita Kanda, actress Amanda Abbington, Bad Education star Layton Williams and broadcaster Angela Rippon.
