LEGO will be paying homage to Nintendo’s long-running Animal Crossing franchise, originally created in 2001 by Katsuya Eguchi and Hisashi Nogami. The anthropomorphic from the cult-followed series will now be immortalized throughout five different sets.
For the sets, LEGO is delivering some of players’ favorite characters, such as Tom Nook, Isabelle and Fauna. It’ll also include Bunnie the rabbit, Kapp’n the turtle, Rosie the cat and Marshal the squirrel.
Sets will be available across a spectrum of budgets. The cheapest, a campsite setup called “Bunnie’s Outdoor Activities,” comes in at $20 USD. The two-set collection of “Nook’s Cranny and Rosie’s House,” meanwhile, runs for $75 USD. In between are builds of Kapp’n’s boat, Isabelle’s house and a birthday party event for Julian.
The builds are designed to be relatively easy, even for children, with sets no more than 600 pieces.
Fans of the franchise, however, will have to wait to get their hands on it. LEGO will be launching the Animal Crossing series in March 2024.
