New Orleans Pelicans and Team USA forwrd Brandon Ingram has officially signed a shoe endorsement deal with Jordan Brand.
In a quote to ESPN‘s Nick DePaula, he called the sneaker deal “a game-changer. A life-changer, and now that it is a reality, I can’t wait to do special things together on and off the court.” Looking ahead of his eighth season in the NBA, he is set to become one of the faces of the Air Jordan 38. In the player’s first five season in the league, he was wearing adidas but switched to Nike in October
2021. Last season, he was spotted wearing Air Jordans in several games and even attended Jordan Brand’s annual board of Governors trip this summer, which is typically reserved for brand athletes, collaborators and employees, further fueling the speculation of a Jordan-bound partnership.
Ingram joins his teammate Zion Williamson and peers like Luka Dončić — who just extended his partnership with the brand — as well as Jayson Tatum and Rui Hachimara on the Jordan Brand roster. He is currently playing in the 2023 FIBA World Cup in the Philippines with Team USA and will be lacing up in the Air Jordan 38s.
