Advisory Board Crystals is all-set for the upcoming 2023-24 NBA season with the release of a collaborative collection with the organization. Conceived with the idea of adding a 31st fictional team known as “The Fantasies,” the capsule redefines basketball with a focus on connections and shared aspirations.
The Fantasies team suggests that the players are more than just athletes, in fact they are aimed at uncover the profound potential within shared human experiences. The collection challenges Fantasy members to embark on an internal journey of self-discovery and philosophical reflection. Beyond the court, they want everyone to be a part of their fandom, inviting spectators to share the exploration of humanity through basketball culture.
The collection is eclectic and reminds everyone that they are a star — with literal star motifs. From plaid pants to basketball shorts, chore jackets, varsity collared bombers, the Fantasies basketball team uniform is anything you want it to be. Taking on youthful motifs and the vibrancy of the not so serious graphics, the capsule extends to sweatpants, jerseys, t-shirts, track pants, plaid shirts, anoraks, tracksuits and more. The star of the show is Stranger Things‘ own Brett Gelman whoappears in the campaign in the co-branded ABC x NBA apparel, taking on the comedic role of the coach of The Fantasies team.
The collection is available at ABC starting on October 19 at 11 a.m.
