Thomas Rhett, Lynyrd Skynyrd and Lainey Wilson are among the music stars set to perform On CBS‘ New Year’s Eve Special.
The five-hour event, dubbed “New Year’s Eve Live: Nashville’s Big Bash” will air live on December 31 from 7:30 to 10 PM, ET/PT, and from 10:30 PM to 1:05 AM, ET/PT, on the CBS Television Network and on Paramount+.
“New Year’s Eve Live: Nashville’s Big Bash” executive producer Robert Deaton said Nashville is quickly becoming one of the most popular destinations to spend New Year’s Eve and that he is honored CBS wants to continue to showcase the tone and its music in a new multi-year television deal.
The annual event will feature close to 50 entertainers from various locations across the city, including the main stage in Nashville’s Bicentennial Capitol Mall State Park.
It will be broadcast across multiple time zones, with the traditional countdown at midnight ET on CBS. The evening will culminate with the renowned Nashville music note drop and fireworks at midnight CT.
Additional information about this year’s lineup of star-studded performers and hosts will be announced in the coming weeks.
