I’m A Celeb: Frankie Dettori and Tony Bellew arrive in the jungle
He may have only just arrived on this year’s I’m A Celebrity, but Frankie Dettori has already settled into camp life and has been sharing his life experiences with his fellow campmates.
The 52-year-old opened up in Friday’s episode about leaving his home in Italy to pursue his career as a jockey.
Frankie told Fred Sirieix and Danielle Harold that he came to the UK by himself at the age of 14 after telling his dad that he was going to become a jockey.
The Milan-native was told by his father that he would be sent to England for six months and then to France for another six months, in order to take his dream seriously.
He told his campmates: “I stayed in a bed and breakfast. It was hard. I was homesick, cry every night.

“About three months [I cried]. Not always. I learned the phrase, ‘What is this?’ Then I watched TV. Your thing [Danielle], Eastenders…”
Danielle, 31, replied: “Do you know how many people say to me, ‘I learned English watching Eastenders’. It’s probably the worst place to learn.”
The television personality entered the jungle on Thursday night’s episode, alongside fellow sports star Tony Bellew.
The campmates were ushered to the ‘Scarena’ for their very first group trial which saw them compete against one another.

However, the celebrities were in for a huge shock when they found out that they would be divided into two camps.
Declan Donnelly explained the big twist, stating: “You are the winning team and you’re heading back to the main camp where you’ll eat well tonight. You are now the Home team.
“That means you guys over there are heading to Snake Rock. You’ll be on rice and beans and you are now the Away team.
“Now, to have the best chance of success, every team needs a good coach!”
Frankie and Tony, 40, then faced off to find out who would be the coach for either team, with Frankie heading for a luxurious stay, while Tony settled for rice and beans.
