TOWIE icon Gemma Collins has revealed she's 'ready to start her fertility journey' after Tana Ramsay welcoming her sixth child at the age of 49 has given her new hope.

The reality TV star, 42, admitted that Tana's exciting news about her bundle of joy has given her hope that she too, can conceive in her 40s.

Gemma, who has been with her fiancé Rami Hawash again since lockdown, has faced a series of setbacks in her long fertility battle.

The TV legend has been keeping her followers updated on her conception journey, previously saying she "can’t get pregnant", after admitting she’s desperate to have a baby.

Now Gemma has new hope after Gordon Ramsay's wife Tanya welcomed their sixth child at the beginning of November.

Speaking to Mail Online, Gemma said: "The Tana Ramsay news was the greatest thing to wake up to. Incredible. It really made me think positively about my future and kind of took the pressure off. I don't think anyone knew she was pregnant, so it was a lovely surprise, but I got butterflies in my stomach when I saw it."

Gemma added: "This is amazing news for me. I'm starting my fertility journey within the next couple of weeks. I'm going to a clinic so watch these cards and get ready for me, honey."

Gordon and Tana Ramsay surprised fans when they announced on Saturday, 8 November that they had welcomed their sixth child, despite them never officially announcing Tana was pregnant.

The 57-year-old TV chef took to social media to show Tana holding their new bundle of joy.

Sharing three snaps, Gordon wrote in the caption: "What an amazing birthday present. Please welcome Jesse James Ramsay, 7lbs 10oz whopper!! One more bundle of love to the Ramsay brigade!! 3 boys, 3 girls… Done."

The news of Tana's exciting new arrival comes as Gemma continues sharing updates about her path to fertility. The star, who rose to fame on The Only Way Is Essex, opened up about her struggles while abroad in July.

In a candid post, Gemma penned: "With an underactive thyroid and PCOS, every day is a constant struggle but do you know what, F IT," followed by the hashtag 'can't get pregnant due to PCOS'.

Following her admission, the star opened up on her sadness over her difficulties in an interview, while maintaining her determination to have a family. She has suffered three devastating miscarriages in the past, one of which happened in 2020 and her quest to have a child hasn’t been easy.

She said: "I can’t for some reason have children. It’s very frustrating, it’s very upsetting, it’s very challenging. I just don’t and can’t have kids.

"It’s very stressful, but I need to find somewhere, a good place or clinic in London, that can make it happen for me. Come on, the world is waiting for The GC's baby. I just need a bit of help to make it happen."

Gemma rekindled her romance with her fiancé Rami seven years after they broke off their engagement in 2014.

She is a stepmum to Tristan, three – Rami’s son from a previous relationship – but Gemma is still hoping that she will be blessed with a baby one day.
