BBC Breakfast’s Nina Warhurst has admitted to being “conflicted” about her return to work after giving birth in early July. The presenter has been back in BBC studios preparing for her January comeback after her seven-month maternity leave and shared some behind-the-scenes snaps with her 27,000 followers on Instagram.

In a couple of the photos, we see Nina back in the swing of things as she steps back into presenter mode with her smiling baby girl, Nancy. The tot looks right at home on set as she stares happily into the camera, proving the apple doesn’t fall too far from the tree.

“So many conflicting emotions for any parent returning to work after a new addition. I’ll miss her, but I get to go back to a team and a programme I really love and care about. Merry Christmas and see you in the new year xxxx.”

Nina already has two sons with her husband, Ed Fraser. Her first boy was born in 2016, while her second was welcomed two years later.

“But they were pretty much weaned at that point, we’re talking like steak, eggs and chips at four months, kind of fellas. I don’t think she will be.”

The mum-of-three continued to say that it would be “really nice” to continue feeding Nancy but explained that her working hours typically coincide with “fuss to feed” times.

In a further update, the presenter explained that she isn’t interested in people who are urging her to take time out with her newborn daughter.
