Britney Spears appears to be in a better place when it comes to her interactions with her estranged husband Sam Asghari.

The 41-year-old pop superstar now has a more ‘cordial’ relationship with her 29-year-old ex, sources with direct knowledge told TMZ.

Part of their more easy-going interactions may be due to Sam — who was spotted out at an LA Lakers game this week — feeling like he’s being cared for well enough.

According to the insiders, the aspiring actor is still living in a high-rise apartment in Los Angeles, which Britney has reportedly been funding for around $10,000 per month.

The couple are getting close to finalizing a settlement for their divorce, which will reportedly have a significant settlement for Sam.

According to the sources, the settlement is expected to be in the low six figures.

Britney has been using the prominent divorce attorney Laura Wasserman to handle her side of the divorce settlement.

In the early stages of negotiations, both of the exes were said to no longer be speaking to each other, and instead they communicated solely through their lawyers.

Sam was originally reported to be planning to challenge the prenuptial agreement that he and Britney signed, despite Wasserman being famous for her rock-solid prenups.

The Black Monday actor was said to be considering speaking out about his experiences while married to the Toxic singer, though the current state of negotiations seems to have mollified him.

The two filed for divorce in August, citing irreconcilable differences.

Although they aren’t at each other’s throats now, it’s unclear how much communication is going on between Britney and Sam, or how much of a support he might be to her going forward.

After they broke off contact early in their divorce process, sources close to Britney worried that it could have a deleterious effect on her mental health, as she had cut off most of her family members and Sam had previously been her biggest support.

Radio silence: Britney was for a time not speaking to Sam. She let her attorney, divorce lawyer extraordinaire Laura Wasserman, handle the communication with Sam’s counsel; seen in 2018

Earlier this week, Britney shocked her fans when she posted a photo of a shirtless mystery man.

However, the semi-clothed hunk turned out to be her manager Cade Hudson, who has also been one of her best friends going back more than a decade.

Even as the hitmaker is preparing to end her time in court with her ex, she recently had to settle other legal matters after getting the latest in a string of traffic violations.

The Stronger singer paid over $700 to take care of an October ticket. That fee included a $332 fine for crossing over double yellow lines, as well as $400 for a traffic school course, which would prevent her from getting a point on her insurance, which would likely raise her rates, according to TMZ.
