A BARGAIN retailer has launched a closing down sale ahead of shutting its doors in the next few weeks. <\/p>\n

Home Values in the Queensmere shopping centre in Slough is said to pulling down the shutters before Christmas. <\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The discounter is hosting a 50% off closing down sale, according to local news reports. <\/p>\n

But it's not all bad news because the shop is said to be reopening in early 2024 after getting a bit of TLC<\/span>. <\/p>\n

Shoppers have shared their disappointment at the closure on social media. <\/p>\n

Posting on Facebook one shopper said: "It\u2019s a sad state of affairs what has become of the shopping centre and Slough in general!!"<\/p>\n

The shop, which sells homeware and household appliances at discounted prices, is said to be shutting for refurbishment.<\/p>\n

It's reported that the shop will close in the next<\/span> few weeks, before Christmas but no exact date has been given.<\/p>\n

Signs advertising a huge 50% off sale have been plastered all over the shopfront. <\/p>\n

The Sun has contacted Queensmere shopping centre for comment on the closure. <\/p>\n

It comes after a difficult time in the leisure and\u00a0retail\u00a0industry.<\/p>\n

Big brand chains have been closing locations across the country, as well as independent stores.<\/p>\n

Most recently,\u00a0Britain's oldest casino closed for the last time\u00a0after a 195 years in\u00a0business.<\/p>\n

Pryzm is also said to be shutting one of its 10 sites in the New Year, leaving\u00a0clubbers\u00a0devastated.<\/p>\n

A British town has been dealt a \u201chuge blow\u201d as a\u00a0Cineworld branch has announced it's closing.<\/p>\n

Plus a beloved jewellers is set to close its doors next month after 188 years in business.<\/p>\n

Clarks shoe chain has\u00a0confirmed that several stores\u00a0will close forever in 2023.<\/p>\n

DIY chain Homebase is closing two stores in November and a third in December.<\/p>\n

High\u00a0energy\u00a0costs and a shift to shopping online after the\u00a0pandemic\u00a0are also taking a toll and many high street shops have struggled to keep going.<\/p>\n
