EAGLE-EYE shoppers have spotted rare KitKat flavours on the shelves in TK Maxx and shoppers say they are "by far the best".

The two unique flavours have not been officially launched in the UK and have previously only been available for purchase in Japan.

Nestle’s KitKat mini koi matcha strong green tea and KitKat salt lemon flavours have been spotted on the shelves in TK Maxx.

Each mini share pack is selling for £4.99 in the budget store.

The matcha KitKat is a classic crispy KitKat wafer coated in a smooth blend of white chocolate and rich green tea powder from Uji, Kyoto.

Fans say it is lightly sweet at first but has a bitter aftertaste all matcha lovers will recognise.

The salt lemon KitKat on the other hand is known for having a slightly salty yet refreshing lemon flavor.

One happy customer rushed to Facebook to let others know the new chocolates were on shop shelves.

In the Food Finds UK Official group, she said: “Well, a few nice finds today at TK Maxx I wasn't daring enough to buy it though.”

The post was liked over 181 times with 65 people leaving comments and many saying they would be checking their local stores.

One user said: “Japanese KitKats are lovely. I have tried loads of different flavours.”

Another said: “Yes, yes, yes. I have been waiting for the match KitKats to come to the UK. By far the best KitKats that my friends bring over from Japan!”

A third said: “Never knew TK Maxx has Japanese imports. I will have to check my local now to see if they have any."

A fourth user said: “Ohh god I need matcha KitKat.”

However because these unique flavours have never been launched in the UK, shipping is usually added to the price and Facebook users did notice.

One user said: “How much, wow the worlds went mad lol.”

Another said: “They’re £1.64 each here in Japan.”

That is not to say that TK Maxx isn’t selling the rare KitKat bars for a bargain price.

If you wanted to get your hands on the unique flavours you would need to buy some from an Asian importer online.

Japan Centre is selling the matcha KitKat flavour for £6.79 while Starry Mart has the salt lemon chocolate minis for £7.50.

However, there isn't always a guarantee of authenticity when ordering some of these products.

In 2019 Nestle launched the matcha green tea KitKat not quite the same as the one spotted in TK Maxx.

The matcha green tea KitKat was available in British supermarkets like Tesco but it is not currently unavailable.

A wave of unique KitKat flavours has been hitting supermarket shelves.

In August, Nestle brought back the discontinued fan favourite Chunky Hazelnut Cream bar.

And in March, Nestle revealed they were launching a new KitKat Cereal which included chocolate and wafer cereal.

In other news, Terry’s Chocolate Orange fans go wild for "new favourite" chocolate bar spotted on supermarket shelves.

Plus shoppers are rushing to buy Quality Street tubs for just £3.99 – and they’re the cheapest around.

And shoppers are flocking to buy hazelnut spread from Asda and people say it’s just like discontinued Morrisons favourite.

Do you have a money problem that needs sorting?
