Belgian designer Dries Van Noten is a highly-anticipated number on the Paris Fashion Week schedule, settling inside an abandoned building in the city’s Opéra neighborhood for Spring/Summer 2024.

Guests were led up flights of stairs, revealing an expansive hallway where models would gather. Disheveled walls and rubble were complemented by Dries Van Noten’s sleek womenswear offering, expanding the House’s design language with effortless tailoring and a chic wardrobe.

The collection was relaxed yet elevated, backdropped by fresh rain sounds. It began with structured blazers paired with khaki cargo skirts. Denim ensembles were washed with subtle fades, while asymmetrical knitwear was striped in all the right places.

Dries Van Noten explored athletic rugby uniforms across collared tops blown to monstrous proportions, mirrored onto wide-leg trousers and matching handbags in purple and green tones. Mismatched patterns reigned across the collection as swirls, checks, sequins, feathers, and pearls appeared on puffed coats, knee-length shorts, and V-neck bodysuits. SS24 saw Van Noten experiment with silhouettes in new ways, keeping things light-hearted and upbeat.
