Dev Alahan (Jimmi Harkishin) was horrified to learn that son Aadi (Adam Hussain) had been having an affair with Courtney Vance (Stephanie Davis) in Coronation Street, and he will soon take drastic action to try and put a stop to their relationship.<\/p>\n
With Courtney having moved in with the Alahan\u2019s, things have become difficult, with the family not exactly getting on very well thanks to Courtney\u2019s behaviour.<\/p>\n
\u2018For Courtney she\u2019s completely made herself at home straight away in true Courtney style \u2013 feet up on the couch, taking forever in the shower,\u2019 actress Stephanie Davis revealed. \u2018Asha and everyone\u2019s getting a bit irritated with her but Courtney\u2019s oblivious to what she\u2019s doing.\u2019<\/p>\n
Because of this, Courtney begins to put pressure on Aadi to find them a place of their own, despite the fact that they\u2019re still very limited on funds.<\/p>\n
\u2018She\u2019s totally in denial. She\u2019s looking at these big posh flats in really beautiful areas,\u2019 Stephanie explained. \u2018He\u2019s trying to really politely, God help him, say \u201cWe can\u2019t really get that.\u201d She\u2019s just like \u201cBut this has got a feature wall!\u201d She\u2019s just oblivious to it because she\u2019s just been so used to living that lifestyle.\u2019<\/p>\n

Eager to get things back to the way they were, Bernie (Jane Hazlegrove) announces that Shelly\u2019s flat is available to rent, and Courtney and Aadi jump at the chance.<\/p>\n
\u2018When she sees the flat I think that is a big reality check for her, definitely. It\u2019s a bit of a shock to her system. But she\u2019s gone through with it now, she doesn\u2019t want to lose face to Darren.\u2019<\/p>\n
Courtney is determined to make things work, and offers to self her rings in order to contribute to the deposit, and they agree to use the rest of the money to go out and celebrate.<\/p>\n
It just so happens that Courtney\u2019s ex-husband Darren (Ryan Early) is attending the golf club bash in the Bistro, and Courtney takes every opportunity to rub her new life in his face.<\/p>\n

\u2018She does turn up there on purpose because she knows Darren\u2019s there. It\u2019s to be like \u201cLook at us, we\u2019re fine.\u201d She\u2019s snogging the face off him as usual, but right in front of him to get a reaction out of him. It\u2019s all bravado. It\u2019s all like \u201cLook at me, I\u2019m doing great.\u201d And I think that\u2019s what she\u2019s done her whole life with everything. But obviously it\u2019s not.\u2019<\/p>\n
Her constant snogging with Aadi and loud discussions of their new flat wind Darren up the wrong way, and soon Dev is cringing as Aadi and Darren square up.<\/p>\n
As the dust settles, Darren pulls Dev aside and, overcome with jealousy, offers Dev \u00a35k to split up Courtney and Aadi.<\/p>\n
Dev takes the money, and soon he is handing it over to Courtney, insisting it\u2019s hers if she dumps Aadi.<\/p>\n
\u2018I can\u2019t give too much away on this bit, but she has a feeling that it\u2019s Darren\u2019s money. I think she knows Dev isn\u2019t quite up to that, he\u2019s a big softie really. And that\u2019s when Courtney and Dev\u2019s game of cat and mouse begins.<\/p>\n
\u2018She\u2019s winding Devvy up and they have a bit of a cat and mouse game and it\u2019s like what\u2019s she going to do with the money? Will she reveal it to Aadi and be like \u201cThis is what your dad\u2019s done\u201d? Or will she twist it and use it against them? <\/p>\n
\u2018Although Courtney might play dumb she\u2019s very, very intelligent and clever and she\u2019s always one step ahead.\u2019<\/p>\n
Will she take the bait, or are her feelings for Aadi more important than his wallet? And how would Aadi react if he found out about Dev\u2019s betrayal? Could this destroy their relationship for good?<\/p>\n
