Brendan Cole claims there are always plenty of love affairs on Strictly Come Dancing and most of them \u2018haven\u2019t been found out.\u2019<\/p>\n
The 47-year-old dancer \u2013 who appeared in 15 series of the hit BBC talent show before leaving in 2018 \u2013 has insisted sparks often fly between the professionals and their celebrity partners and many of the flirtations turn into romance \u2013 but he\u2019s adamant most of them stay secret.<\/p>\n
Speaking to The Sun, he explained: \u2018Show me a series where there hasn\u2019t been a little bit of love magic. Generally, every year something happens between a dancer and a contestant.<\/p>\n
\u2018I\u2019ve been in series where five or six little love connections have been happening and most of them haven\u2019t been found out.\u2019<\/p>\n
Brendan went on to insist romance between the dancing partners is to be expected because of the amount of time they spend together and the tactile nature of dancing.<\/p>\n
He added: \u2018In that particular environment, where you are hands-on with each other 24\/7, there\u2019s a little excitement between two people.\u2019<\/p>\n

It comes after previous contestant HRVY declared the so-called Strictly curse is \u2018real\u2019 in an exclusive chat with Metro.co.uk.<\/p>\n
The 24-year-old music star \u2013 who appeared on the BBC show in 2020 \u2013 explained: \u2018I know it\u2019s real. I\u2019m not going to say any more than that, but as someone who\u2019s done the show \u2013 I\u2019m not saying that I\u2019ve experienced it firsthand myself \u2013 but I may have seen \u2026 It\u2019s definitely a real thing. <\/p>\n
\u2018People talk about it and it\u2019s like a bantering thing and I thought the same thing until I did it and then was like, \u201cWow, yeah.\u201d\u2018<\/p>\n

HRVY \u2013 whose real name is Harvey Cantwell \u2013 even likened Strictly to ITV dating show Love Island. <\/p>\n
He explained: \u2018It could be the intimacy of dancing. It could be the fact that you\u2019re with a group of people for weeks and weeks and weeks. <\/p>\n
\u2018You could almost say it\u2019s like Love Island but you\u2019re not on an island, you\u2019re in a dance studio but it\u2019s definitely real.\u2019<\/p>\n

One of the most significant cases of the Strictly curse of recent years occurred in 2018 when\u00a0comedian Seann Walsh was photographed kissing his professional partner Katya Jones.<\/p>\n
Katya was married to fellow dancer Neil Jones at the time, while Seann was in a relationship with actor Rebecca Humphries.<\/p>\n
In 2018, television presenter Stacey Dooley won the sixteenth series of Strictly Come Dancing with her partner, Kevin Clifton.<\/p>\n

The couple confirmed they were in a relationship by April of the next year and announced last year they were\u00a0expecting their first child.\u00a0<\/p>\n
After ending Strictly as runners-up in 2018, Joe Sugg and Dianne Buswell got together following much speculation about the state of their relationship.<\/p>\n
Dianne\u00a0split from her boyfriend, Emmerdale actor Anthony Quinlan\u00a0while taking part in the competition.<\/p>\n

In November 2013, Countdown star Rachel Riley announced that she was separating from her husband, Jamie Gilbert, who she met at university.<\/p>\n
Later that year,\u00a0she and her Strictly dance partner Pasha Kovalev started dating. They married in 2019 and have two daughters together.<\/p>\n
Elsewhere, pro dancers Kai Widdrington and Nadiya Bychkova, while former contestants Tyler West and Molly Rainford have appeared to go public with their romance.<\/p>\n
Most recently, John Whaite, who competed in the 2021 series of Strictly, has opened up about \u2018falling in love\u2019 with his professional partner Johannes Radebe, while in a relationship.<\/p>\n
