YouTube has suspended the monetisation of Russell Brand\u2019s channel for \u2018violating Creator Responsibility policy\u2019, the Google-owned company said.<\/p>\n
YouTube said the suspension of monetisation was because of the allegations made against Brand.<\/p>\n
In a statement, YouTube confirmed: \u2018We have suspended monetisation on Russell Brand\u2019s channel for violating our Creator Responsibility policy. If a creator\u2019s off-platform behaviour harms our users, employees or ecosystem, we take action to protect the community.\u2019<\/p>\n
The company said that it had suspended Brand\u2019s channel from the YouTube Partner Program \u2018following serious allegations against the creator\u2019.<\/p>\n
This action means the channel is \u2018no longer able to monetise on YouTube\u2019.<\/p>\n
The decision applies to all channels that may be owned or operated by the 48-year-old, it added.<\/p>\n

MailOnline notes that Brand creates up to five videos a week for his six million subscribers and rakes in an estimated \u00a31million annually from the channel.<\/p>\n
However, the outlet adds that although YouTube\u2019s decision will be a \u2018blow\u2019 to Brand, it will do \u2018little\u2019 to impact his overall net worth, which is said to be \u00a340million.<\/p>\n
Brand is facing further accusations as more women come forward with allegations of how he treated them, it has emerged.<\/p>\n
