Nelly couldn\u2019t stop grinning as he finally confirmed his reunion with Ashanti, nearly a decade after their split.<\/p>\n
The Air Force Ones rapper, 48, and Foolish singer, 42, previously dated for around 11 years before calling time on their relationship in 2014.<\/p>\n
However, they recently sent fans into a spin when they were spotted looking very cozy during a performance in April, with many pleading for answers on whether they had rekindled their romance.<\/p>\n
Appearing on Boss Moves with Rasheeda, the host wasted no time in asking Nelly the question that was on all our minds.<\/p>\n
He remained coy when discussing their bond, telling her: \u2018Yeah, we\u2019re cool again\u2026<\/p>\n
\u2018I think it surprised both of us, though. It wasn\u2019t anything that was planned. I think we both were pretty much doing what we do.<\/p>\n

\u2018But, sometimes being separate, you understand one another more \u2026 and see maybe what they see. We all can be defensive sometimes in our relationships and we know we\u2019re wrong, but we\u2019re going to stand on it. We\u2019re all a victim to that.\u2019<\/p>\n
When asked whether things felt \u2018good\u2019 during their second time of dating, the musician explained that there was just \u2018no pressure\u2019 on them.<\/p>\n
\u2018Yeah. I mean because it\u2019s no pressure,\u2019 he added. \u2018Before I felt like both of us are doing what we\u2019re doing career wise. And when you got so many people in the middle of it, it can be tough.\u2019\u00a0<\/p>\n
The lovebirds initially started dating in 2003, before going their separate ways after more than a decade of dating.<\/p>\n

Ashanti has remained fiercely guarded about her love interests ever since, but recently delved into her private life during a candid with Metro.co.uk, to promote The Plus One.<\/p>\n
Discussing how her approach to dating has changed as she got older, she told us: \u2018It\u2019s not too different but what I will say is I\u2019m more patient now than in the beginning. When you first start dating you\u2019re like, \u201cI want this to happen now etc\u201d, and I will admit I\u2019m a tiny bit spoiled.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u2018Sometimes I want my way but as you get older you have to understand it\u2019s about compromise, sacrifice and just having patience.\u2019\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u2018Everything else is the same but you just got to have more patience now.\u2019\u00a0<\/p>\n
