Olly Murs has revealed that he is \u201cgutted\u201d that ITV show Starstruckwill not be returning for a third season. <\/p>\n

The show, which launched back in 2022,was established as a modernised version of Stars In Their Eyes and saw contestants performing as musical idols such as Ed Sheeran and Lady Gaga in a bid to win a huge \u00a350,000 prize. <\/p>\n

Hosted by 39-yea-old Olly, it saw Sheridan Smith, Adam Lambert, Beverley Knight and Jason Manford become judges for series one. However, in season two Sheridan, 42, was replaced by Shania Twain and Ronan Keating due to filming commitments elsewhere.<\/p>\n

Reports that plans for a series three had been shelved by ITV emerged in June following allegations that the broadcaster apparently wanted to try a different show.<\/p>\n

But speaking toThe Sun about the news at the National Television Awards, Olly said: "Presenting is something I have always loved doing. Starstruck was amazing but that isn\u2019t coming back."<\/p>\n

He also revealed why the show had come to an end and added: \u201cI am gutted it is such a great show. In this game, things change so quickly. The ratings did really well but in terms of money and stuff like that, it just didn\u2019t work.\u201d<\/p>\n

Olly\u2019s comments come just months after hetied the knot to his partner Amelia Tank in a festival themed wedding on a private island in July. <\/p>\n

Speaking to OK!<\/b> in December 2022 about his nuptials,The X Factor star revealed that getting married was the \u201cnext stage of my life\u201d and that he was \u201chappy\u201d with how things in his life were heading. <\/p>\n

\u201cI think it\u2019s the next stage of my life. I was just one of the lads, a bit of a boy-next-door. I never quite found the love of my life. I was a bit lost. Now I\u2019ve come full circle,\u201d he said. \u201cWho knows what the future holds? But right now, at this present moment, everything\u2019s great. I\u2019m very happy.\u201d<\/p>\n

Having first met fitness fanatic Amelia at the gym in 2019, the Dance With Me Tonight singer also opened up about how meeting Amelia had changed his life for the better.<\/p>\n

\u201cFalling in love with Amelia definitely had such a positive impact on my life. It\u2019s helped me so much \u2013 just feeling like there\u2019s someone there for you at the end of the day,\u201d he explained. \u201cFeeling that love from someone is amazing and I\u2019m very thankful to have met her. She\u2019s amazing. I just love her so much.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
