I\u2019m not going to say any more than that, but as someone who\u2019s done the show \u2013 I\u2019m not saying that I\u2019ve experienced it firsthand myself \u2013 but I may have seen\u2026\u2019 he coyly trailed off before adding: \u2018It\u2019s definitely a real thing\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>He continued: \u2018People talk about it and it\u2019s like a bantering thing and I thought the same thing until I did it and then was like, \u2018Wow, yeah\u2019.\u2019<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/wp-content\/themes\/metro-parent\/img\/fallback.png\"><br \/>\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"HRVY - Stolen Heart (Trailer)\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/ddREuaWqTY0?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>The star struggled to put his finger on exactly why the showed had such a reputation for ripping apart contestants\u2019 love lives and surmised: \u2018It could be the intimacy of dancing. It could be the fact that you\u2019re with a group of people for weeks and weeks and weeks.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018You could almost say it\u2019s like Love Island but you\u2019re not on an island, you\u2019re in a dance studio but it\u2019s definitely real.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>In terms of advice for the next batch of competitors, all HRVY had to say was \u2018don\u2019t listen to the public and what they say and all the nasty comments\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>The Kent native announced he would be chasing number ones once more and kicked off his run at the download streams with a pop bop to rival the best of them.<\/p>\n<p>He excitedly outlined the idea behind the sound of his new song and revealed: \u2018I started super pop, a lot of my biggest streamed songs are pop music and at the minute, I feel like a lot of artists are releasing really sad stuff.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/wp-content\/themes\/metro-parent\/img\/fallback.png\"><br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/wp-content\/themes\/metro-parent\/img\/fallback.png\"><\/p>\n<p>\u2018Every song is like, \u2018I hate life, I\u2019m so sad\u2019, which is great because we all love to listen to that stuff \u2013 and I do as well \u2013 but it almost solidified the reason why I\u2019ve released the new song because it doesn\u2019t really take itself too seriously, it\u2019s not that deep.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018It\u2019s nice to sometimes release stuff like that and I feel like some of the previous stuff I\u2019ve released did that and people really enjoyed that.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>To compliment his pop tune, the singer filmed a music video that also starred his girlfriend, former Emmerdale actress Mimi Slinger, 20.<\/p>\n<p>HRVY opened up about casting his real-life partner as his on-screen ex-lover in the clip and admitted: \u2018Well, obviously I needed a lead girl and she\u2019s an actress, so she really enjoys it and it was easy.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018It\u2019s always a bit more difficult when you have to meet someone on the day that you\u2019ve never met and you have to create this chemistry and you have to act. It was just nice to not have to do that.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/wp-content\/themes\/metro-parent\/img\/fallback.png\"><br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/wp-content\/themes\/metro-parent\/img\/fallback.png\"><\/p>\n<p>\u2018It was fun to be behind the camera and telling her to do stuff and directing her a little bit. It was just an easy day and I actually enjoyed it, which is good.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>The Good Vibes hitmaker teased fans with the promise of new music and reassured everyone this new release meant he was back and better than ever.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018Now it\u2019s like foot on the pedal, just go, go, go, go. Music, music, music. Music video. Little TV show, little this, music \u2013 \u00a0that kind of stuff.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018Just going for it, so we\u2019ll see. Hopefully, people like it but it was a good break.
