<\/p>\nMCDONALD'S fans have been left fuming after a popular item has suddenly disappeared from menus. <\/p>\n
The fast-food chain has dropped its double chocolate pie from its UK offering.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
The sweet treat was introduced to menus back in June and has quickly become a fan favourite.<\/p>\n
It's made up of a chocolate crust and stuffed with chocolate sauce and is a choc twist on the iconic apple pie.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
The snack was only ever meant to stick around for a set period until September 5, or until stocks lasted. <\/p>\n
Unfortunately for those with a sweet tooth it looks like that time has come. <\/p>\n

One Maccies fan took to social media and said: "Please make double chocolate pies permanent."<\/p>\n
While another wrote: "Bring back chocolate pies."<\/p>\n
A third posted: "Where's the chocolate pies gone am fuming with yas."<\/p>\n
And a fourth commented: "Why not just keep the chocolate pie forever?"<\/p>\n
<\/span><\/p>\n <\/span><\/p>\n <\/span><\/p>\n <\/span><\/p>\n Other echoed the calls to make the item a fixed addition.<\/p>\n Another wrote: "I'm loving the new chocolate fried pie, absolutely amazing, please don't ever stop serving them, super super delicious."<\/p>\n And another said: "The only reward I want is permanent double chocolate pie."<\/p>\n Availability of the pie may depend on where you are as stock varies by location. <\/p>\n You can find your closest McDonald's using the restaurant locator tool on the website.<\/p>\n We tried the chocolate treat when it was first launched and rated it a three out of five.<\/p>\n It's not the first time fans have called on Maccies to make a special menu item permanent.<\/p>\n Back in May diners were fuming that the garlic mayo and mega hot sauce dipping sauces were being axed after a limited stint.<\/p>\n The pie was one of the first additions to the Maccies summer menu which also included the much-anticipated Biscoff McFlurry and all-new Mozzarella bites. <\/p>\n Both of these items have since been removed from the menu and replaced for the second round of additions. <\/p>\n Also leaving menus by September 5 is the Caesar and Bacon wrap.<\/p>\n The\u00a0fast food giant\u00a0is famous for shaking up its menu, usually every six weeks or so.<\/p>\n Currently available at all restaurants nationwide is the summer menu, but it's only around until September 12.<\/p>\n It includes the new McCrispy Deluxe, the BBQ Quarter Pounder\u00a0Cheese\u00a0and the BBQ Double Quarter Pounder Cheese.<\/p>\n Also among those returning were the Cheesy Garlic Bites, Galaxy Salted Caramel McFlurry and the Galaxy Chocolate McFlurry.<\/p>\n Fans will have to be quick as both the new and returning items are only around for six weeks.<\/p>\n If you're planning on taking a trip to McDonald's, you'll want to know where your nearest branch is.<\/p>\n The chain has a restaurant locator tool on its website you can use to find your nearest one – and check what time it opens.<\/p>\n Bear in mind that McDonald's\u00a0serves breakfast every day\u00a0until 11am.<\/p>\n After that, the menu switches to the normal menu serving meals such as burgers, chicken nuggets and more.<\/p>\n There are plenty of ways you can save on your next trip to McDonald's.<\/p>\n You should choose your branch wisely – menu prices can vary across different\u00a0restaurants\u00a0just a couple of miles apart.<\/p>\n We've seen Big Mac meals up to 30p cheaper before, which added up over the course of a year could save you a fair few pounds.<\/p>\n You can also get freebies on your birthday if you've got the My McDonald's app.<\/p>\n Remember to log your date of birth on the app though, otherwise you'll miss out.<\/p>\n You can get a Big Mac and fries for just \u00a31.99 as well if you fill out the quick feedback survey following your last visit.<\/p>\n All you'll need is your receipt which should have been issued no more than 60 days after your visit.<\/p>\n A 12-digit code will be printed on the proof of purchase and then you can enter the McDonald's\u00a0Food for Thought\u00a0website to fill out a quick survey.<\/p>\n For the full list of tips, you can\u00a0read our guide here.<\/p>\n Meanwhile,\u00a0McDonald's has revealed the exact date\u00a0its famous Monopoly game will return to restaurants.<\/p>\n Plus, it also recently launched its\u00a0Saver Meal Deal, available every day from 11am, nationwide.<\/p>\n![](\"https:\/\/www.thesun.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/5e05a777-bc40-406d-8340-39287e79a1e0.jpg\")
