John Cena has paid tribute to Bray Wyatt \u2013 real name\u00a0Windham\u00a0Rotunda \u2013 following his recent death aged 36.<\/p>\n
Taking to social media site X, fellow WWE wrestler John, 46, recalled some special times they\u2019d spent together which he\u2019ll always remember.<\/p>\n
\u2018Devastated by the news of the passing of Windham Rotunda,\u2019 he began.<\/p>\n
\u2018My heart goes out to the entire Rotunda family. <\/p>\n
\u2018Windham brought the best out of me in so many ways. I\u2019m forever grateful for the moments we shared. <\/p>\n
\u2018A sad day for all those he reached around the world. RIP.\u2019<\/p>\n
The former world champion had\u00a0not been seen on screen since February 2023\u00a0with reports he had been battling an unspecified illness with\u00a0Dwayne Johnson also among those paying respect\u00a0to the star.<\/p>\n
WWE boss\u00a0Triple H led tributes to Wyatt\u00a0as he revealed the tragic news on Thursday and tweeted: \u2018Just received a call from WWE Hall of Famer Mike Rotunda who informed us of the tragic news that our WWE family member for life Windham Rotunda \u2013 also known as Bray Wyatt \u2013 unexpectedly passed earlier today.<\/p>\n
\u2018Our thoughts are with his family and we ask that everyone respect their privacy at this time.\u2019<\/p>\n

Hours after his death was announced, Wyatt\u2019s\u00a0cause of death was revealed to be a heart attack.<\/p>\n
Wrestling reporter Sean Ross Sapp wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter: \u2018I was given permission to reveal that earlier this year Windham Rotunda (Bray Wyatt) got COVID that exacerbated a heart issues.<\/p>\n
\u2018There was a lot of positive progress towards a return and his recovery.<\/p>\n
\u2018Unfortunately today he suffered a heart attack and passed away.\u2019<\/p>\n
He added: \u2018I encourage those reading to respect the family\u2019s privacy if at all possible, but his loved ones wanted some details clarified.\u2019<\/p>\n

During his time with WWE, Wyatt was known for his creativity in the wrestling world as he constantly evolved to create intriguing and enigmatic characters. He was a third-generation pro wrestler, following in the footsteps of his father and grandfather.<\/p>\n
Wyatt truly made his name as the cult leader of the Wyatt Family alongside Erick Rowan and the late Luke Harper (Brodie Lee), facing the likes of John Cena, Kane and The Shield.<\/p>\n

Wyatt had two daughters with his ex-wife Samantha, who he was married to from 2012 to 2017.<\/p>\n
He became engaged to WWE announcer Jojo Offerman last year \u2013 they shared a daughter and a son.<\/p>\n
For his last birthday, Offerman wrote on Instagram that Wyatt was her \u2018best friend, soulmate, and partner for life\u2019.<\/p>\n
