As one of the most heavily streetwear influenced brands in the golf space today, Students has made a name for itself with its laidback and occasionally ironic approach to the game. Its founder Michael Huynh first gained notoriety at Publish Brand, and since moving on to Students he’s been following a tried-and-true method of quality cut and sew garments combined with compelling graphics. So it’s no wonder the brand has carved out a niche among a newer, more fashion conscious crowd.<\/p>\n
And the brand’s latest release called Today Shall Be The Day is a bit of a surprise given that the SS23 collection already landed back in April, but it’s a welcome surprise at that. As with most Students drops, there’s a clean and minimalistic quality to the design elements despite the elaborate storytelling. The Chapman Poly Polo shirt is a good example of that, coming through in a classic silhouette but finished with snap buttons and sparkle adorned Students Golf branding.<\/p>\n
Similarly, the Baker Cabana Shirt features branding on the front and reverse sides, albeit with more of a workwear sensibility. SGC is written out in varsity lettering, and the collared shirt opens via a front micro zipper. Both of the two aforementioned pieces are offered in dark green and navy. Then moving on to Students’ staple tee shirts, the\u00a0Wedge Wizard Tee recalls the mystical feel of the Chapman Poly Polo with its Gandalf-looking protagonist, while the Science Lab Tee takes a considerably more analytical approach to the game.<\/p>\n
