Tyson Fury is left shaken and feeling low after receiving devastating family news in At Home With the Furys.<\/p>\n
The Netflix series the Fury family as they navigate the ups and downs of family life as well as Tyson’s return to boxing.<\/p>\n
In one episode, Tyson flies out to Mallorca, Spain, for a fan event but as he enjoys the sun with Paris, they receive a shocking phone call.<\/p>\n
Speaking to the camera,Tyson explained: “Last night I was on a high after the Usyk fight. We had a great party, me and Paris were dancing. It was an excellent night.<\/p>\n
“Then this morning, I was in bed, I got a phone call telling me that my cousin, Rico, has been killed.<\/p>\n

Shocking news. Shocking.”<\/p>\n As Tyson is shown dealing with the news of his cousin’s death, Paris told viewers: “We got a bit of a devastating phone call this morning at 7am.<\/p>\n “Tyson’s first cousin, who he was really close to as a kid, has been stabbed and murdered in Manchester.<\/p>\n “Tyson’s been in an upset mood, a state of shock I think. I knew the boy all my life, since I was a teenager.<\/p>\n “And it’s a horrible, horrible thing. More info<\/p>\n “He doesn’t really know the normal sort of procedures of life, and he just handles it in his own way, so his own way today is he’s locked himself in the room, hasn’t spoken to us since he got the phone call.<\/p>\n “I think he’d like to be at home right now and he can’t go anywhere because he’s got something like 1,500 people to go to a show tonight and to be the cheery, upbeat Tyson Fury that they’ve all paid to come and see.<\/p>\n “He will more than likely do it. I don’t know how he does it. He’ll just dig deep and find his space because he is a showman and that is what they do, rain, sun or shine, he’ll put on a show and do what he needs to do.”<\/p>\n Later in the episode, the pair can be seen chatting as Tyson tells Paris he’s always been told “one phone call can turn your world upside down” and he knew the call he received was “bad news”.<\/p>\n Reflecting on his relationship with his cousin Rico, Tyson shared they were “really close” and trained together.<\/p>\n Tyson said of Rico’s murder: “All I know is he’s been stabbed in the neck and he’s dead.<\/p>\n “There’s a lot of cowards out there. A lot of s**thouse cowards who have to use a knife. Anyone who uses a knife should be castrated.”<\/p>\n In July 2023, Liam O’Pray was found guilty of murdering Tyson’s cousin Rico Burton outside of a bar in Altrincham, Manchester.<\/p>\n He was sentenced to 28 years in prison at Manchester Crown Court on August 8.<\/p>\n At Home With the Furys is available to stream on Netflix now.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n
