Sophie was born in London, England, on December 14, 1979.<\/p>\n
Her family moved to the Gold Coast, Queensland, in Australia when she was two years old. <\/p>\n
She graduated as school captain in 1997 and was trained in classical opera growing up.<\/p>\n
Sophie worked as a Marilyn Monroe impersonator at Warner Bros. Movie World on the Gold Coast.<\/p>\n

In 1999, she became a member of the pop group Bardot who were the winners of the first season of Popstars Australia. <\/p>\n
She released a solo album called Calendar Girl in 2003.<\/p>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n <\/span><\/p>\n <\/span><\/p>\n <\/span><\/p>\n Sophie was also the winner of the fourth season of The Celebrity Apprentice Australia in 2015. <\/p>\n She was a judge on Australia's Got Talent 2016 and in 2017 starred on the third season of The Bachelorette Australia. <\/p>\n In 2018, she became the host of Love Island Australia and in 2021 began hosting Beauty And The Geek Australia.<\/p>\n She is also a regular guest panellist on The Hundred with Andy Lee.<\/p>\n Joshua Gross's Instagram bio states he is a photographer.<\/p>\n Despite not being in showbiz he has said he is "proud" of his wife.<\/p>\n Joshua told Who exclusively in 2021: "When I came on to the set\u00a0while she was filming\u00a0Beauty And The Geek,\u00a0I was blown away by her talent.<\/p>\n "She\u2019s incredible. I\u2019m a very lucky guy.\u201d<\/p>\n The couple also own a golden retriever, Bluey. <\/p>\n Sophie and Joshua fell in love in 2018. <\/p>\n They were both flying on a business class flight and Sophie struck up a conversation with him. <\/p>\n A few champagnes later and she leaned in for a kiss.<\/p>\n Sophie told 9Honey:"I just sat down and he had a sense of humour and I was like, 'Oh, how relieving, sitting next to someone you can have a chat with'.<\/p>\n "It was like, 'Good sense of humour, hard worker'\u2026 it just happened."<\/p>\n The relationship started as a long-distance romance but the two fell head over heels quickly. <\/p>\n Sophie admitted to TV Week that this relationship was nothing like one she'd had before.<\/p>\n She said: "I wasn't comfortable with myself and would choose people who weren't right for me,"<\/p>\n "When you don't feel good about yourself, you attract the wrong thing or you look for somebody to fulfil you. <\/p>\n "But you need to meet someone who's a bonus to you, not someone to fix you. That took me ages (to realise)."<\/p>\n The two became engaged in January 2021. <\/p>\n Sophie announced the news by posting a photo of the couple embracing with her new diamond ring on show.<\/p>\n She wrote: "Told you I'd tell you guys first – I'm engaged,"<\/p>\n "I honestly can't thank you enough for all the love and support. <\/p>\n "I know I have the coolest people following me and you've always had my back and I feel so cared about. <\/p>\n "You're absolute bloody legends. I'm not very good at being mushy. I'm trying to say I absolutely adore you."<\/p>\n Sophie and Joshua tied the knot in a intimate ceremony in March 2022. <\/p>\n Stellar Magazine was invited to capture their day. <\/p>\n Sophie revealed to them: "We always thought we'd elope. So many people said to me, 'I didn't even see my husband on the night; if I had my wedding over, we'd just elope'.<\/p>\n "So we thought, well, why don't we just get married at home?<\/p>\n "I've seen people get really stressed about their wedding, and ours has been so stress-free."<\/p>\n The only guests were those who'd attended their at-home dinner before exchanging their vows.<\/p>\n Sophie posted on Instagram: "I HAVE A HUBBY!<\/p>\n "We eloped-ish at home. I can\u2019t believe I met him on a plane! It\u2019s crazy. Best flight of my life! <\/p>\n "I really do believe everything happens for a reason. <\/p>\n "I love you\u00a0@joshuargross\u00a0thanks for putting up with how messy, disorganised and lazy I am. <\/p>\n "Youre my best friend in the world AND you are welcome for how hilarious my jokes are and how I absolutely smash you in Xbox F1! We\u2019re both lucky."<\/p>\n Joshua simply wrote: "Sophie, I love you.
