On June 9, 2022, Jodi shared a touching post on Instagram in memory of her son – four years since his passing – along with a picture of Jackson looking over a mountain view.

Who was Jackson Odell?

Jackson Odell was an actor from Colorado – in the United States – born on July 2, 1997.

He is best known for playing the role of student Ari Caldwell in the ABC comedy The Goldbergs.

His first ever acting opportunity came when he was 12-years old, when he played Max in Private Practice.

He went on to appear in other shows such as in iCarly – where he played Gumbo, in Jessie as Gale, in Modern Family – where he portrayed the role of Ted Durkas and had the role of a skateboarder in Arrested Development.

In 2018, he also had the opportunity to write music for the film Forever My Girl.

What happened to Jackson Odell?

On June 8, 2018, Jackson was found dead in a sober living home – a facility for alcohol and drug recovering addicts – in San Fernando Valley, California.

He was only less than a month away from celebrating his birthday, in which he would have turned 21.

His family tweeted: "The Odell family has lost our beloved son and brother, Jackson Odell.

"He will always be a shining light and a brilliant, loving and talented soul. He had so much more to share.
