Spoilers: Tiffany and Keegan face wedding chaos in EastEnders tonight

Keegan Baker (Zack Morris) and Tiffany Butcher (Maisie Smith) are all set to elope and get married in EastEnders tonight – but while they are looking to the future and excited to become man and wife, their families have other ideas.

Having heard of the plans of Walford’s young lovers, Karen Taylor (Lorraine Stanley) leads the way as the concerned relatives think they are moving too fast. As Tiffany and Keegan arrive at the venue, they are horrified when their families show up and make their feelings clear.

And the delay means that the couple lose their slot. As Keegan and Tiffany’s day lies in tatters, their reaction to missing the opportunity to commit to one another shows a different side to the situation for Karen and the others.

So as the registrar gets set to leave, Karen finds herself taking drastic action as she leaps onto his car to block him from leaving. Demanding that he marries the couple (that’s one serious u-turn) before he goes, Karen refuses to budge – but will it backfire and end with her being arrested?

We can’t confirm whether the wedding goes ahead but Maisie is certain that they could have a bright future together – and their feelings are utterly genuine.

She told Metro.co.uk: ‘They have been through so much individually and for them to fall in love shows how much they each have individually grown as characters. It’s a beautiful relationship because they’re both so vulnerable – they have a great dynamic I think.

‘They are totally genuine about each other. Because they have been through so much, they have been forced to grow up much quicker than others. I don’t think their relationship is child like at all – they have a lot of love for each other. They’re a bit of a power couple!’

She added: ‘With any relationship, there is always a risk but as long as they are happy they should go with what they think feels right.’

EastEnders airs the dramatic wedding scenes on Friday 8 November at 8pm on BBC One.
