Our Yorkshire Farm fans were disappointed when season four of the farming lifestyle series was cut short for Channel 5’s Anne Boleyn. So far there have been seven episodes this season, with the eighth episode still some way off. But when will episode eight of season four be on TV in 2021?
When is our Yorkshire farm on TV in 2021?
The majority of season four has already aired, in fact, there is only one episode left in the season – episode eight.
Fans were expecting the episode to drop as usual on Tuesday 9pm June 1, 2021, but were instead greeted by Channel 5’s historical drama Anne Boleyn.
Anne Boleyn only aired for three days, meaning most fans were expected Our Yorkshire Farm to be back in its usual slot the following Tuesday.
However, three weeks on the show is still missing in action and Channel 5 are yet to confirm the release date of the final episode of season four.
There is a reason for fans to be hopeful however, as Amanda Owen recently broke her silence on the next instalment of the smash-hit documentary series.
Amanda regularly keeps fans up-to-date will all things Owen family and interacts with them on her Twitter account, with her responding to angry comments about the lack of a new episode.
She said in a now-deleted Tweet: “They haven’t dropped it. We will be back with a new series later in the year.”
This means fans will get to see another Owen family adventure before the end of the year, confirming season four will continue.
Some fans suspected the pushback actually signalled the episode was just moving into season five, however, this looks like it won’t be the case.
In March of 2021, Channel 5 announced they had signed a two-year deal with the Owen family, amounting to 20 new episodes.
These will likely be broken up into two seasons with season four only getting eight episodes – confirming the fifth season.
The last time viewers saw the Owen family it was Christmas Day in season four episode seven, making the possibility of a time jump in episode eight more likely.
There are no details on what the next episode will include, though it should be expected more will be revealed about the new Ravenseat home.
Throughout season four fans could follow Amanda and Clive Owen as they renovated a dilapidated farmhouse away from the Yorkshire Dale fields.
Some of the renovation work can be seen on Amanda Owen’s Twitter in the meantime, with the new building slowly coming together.
Progress is slow, as the house was nothing more than a ruin when they bought it earlier last year, 2022.
Fans have been taking to social media to voice their frustration over the lack of new episodes, with many taking to Twitter to discuss season four.
One fan said: “Missed seeing you on Tuesday. Thanks for this I love following your family.”
Another fan added: “Absolutely gutted that the final episode never aired. How could they not wait a week to air Anne Bolyn??” (sic)
A third fan commented: “I think like millions we missed you all on Tuesday.” (sic)
Our Yorkshire Farm is available to watch on Channel 5 and My5.
