Mack makes bold promise to Charity as wedding disaster looms in Emmerdale

We’ve got to hand it to Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb) in Emmerdale. As far as the village residents are concerned, he’s become a master at keeping his secret from Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins).

Said secret, of course, is that he’s the father of Chloe’s (Jessie Elland) baby, something he discovered ages ago and believed keeping it from Charity would be the best thing to do.

During Wednesday’s (March 22) edition of the ITV soap, Mack decided to ask Isaac (Bobby Dunsmuir) if he’d like to be a page boy at his wedding.

Isaac accepted and later, Moira (Natalie J Robb) popped by to tell Mack how excited the young lad is now feeling.

Moira commented on how good Mack is with Isaac and Kyle (Huey Quinn) and soon enough, topic of conversation turned to Mackenzie being a father.

He told Moira that Charity had said they can talk about the prospect of having children in the future, but Mack believed it might’ve just been a way of shutting down the topic.

Moira reminded Mack that giving up the chance to be a father is massive and that while it’s beneficial to think about their needs as a couple, Mack should also think about what he wants as well.

When Charity arrived, she unleashed her anger and sent Moira on her way, which left her wondering whether Mackenzie was having doubts about the wedding, courtesy of what Moira had to say.

Mackenzie reassured Charity that he’s not going anywhere and things are absolutely solid between them, but with Chloe’s pregnancy journey nearly at an end – keeping that secret certainly isn’t going to last much longer.
