New details on the sixth season of Netflix’s wildly successful fantasy drama Lucifer are emerging every day as the series approaches its last day of filming. On her personal Twitter account, showrunner Ildy Modrovich has shared another behind the scenes look at the series’ final instalment.

Writer and producer Ildy Modrovich has revealed a new set photo from the final days of filming for Lucifer season six.

Filming in Los Angeles is rapidly approaching the completion of what will undoubtedly be an emotional series finale.

Meanwhile, fans are still waiting for the last eight episodes of the fifth season to emerge after Lucifer Morningstar (played by Tom Ellis) finally faced off against his twin brother Michael last year.

As further details from the set of season six are released, it’s hoped that Netflix will finally announce when the series can be expected to return in the coming weeks.

With subscribers more hyped for Lucifer’s upcoming release than ever, Ildy Modrovich has been keeping them updated with a fresh slate of snaps from behind the scenes.

Her latest post has revealed a rare look at series leads Tom Ellis and Lauren German on the set of Lucifer’s classy penthouse suite.

“My fave #LuciferBTS from the final day in the Penthouse,” she wrote, and added: “#savoringeverymoment.”

Lucifer himself, Welsh star Tom Ellis, is pulling a distinctly sad expression as he wraps his arm around his on-screen love interest.

As both stars appeared to be in costume for the shoot, filming may have been underway or just about to wind down when the snap was taken.

Modrovich’s recent glimpse at season six understandably drew equally emotional responses from her followers on Twitter.

“My dear brilliant mind, tears fell when I saw this picture,” said one fan.

“It’s so beautiful but at the same time painful to see Tom and Lauren with their sad looks on the last day of recording this wonderful scene that is the Penthouse!”

And another viewer wrote: “Omg… this is so emotional… I can see in their faces how sad they were filming the last scene there.”

Lucifer’s high-class apartment above his nightclub Lux has been a central part of the series since the first season began on Fox in 2016.

The luxuriously detailed set has since appeared in almost every episode of the show, and remained largely unchanged.

It most recently became the stage of Lucifer’s confrontation with his long-running office rival, Dan Espinoza (Kevin Alejandro), after Michael tricked him into discovering Lucifer’s true identity.

Therefore, it’s no surprise that Lucifer and Chloe will be spending time there in the finale before season six brings the series to a showstopping conclusion.

Additionally, Ildy Modrovich has confirmed she’ll be posting a new set pic each day until production wraps, potentially later this month.

As well as keeping their eyes open for more details and clues in the showrunner’s new posts, fans should soon find out when filming has finished and more episodes will be coming to screens.
