Love Island's Luke Mabbott and Lucie Donlan save a family from being swept out to sea in Cornwall

LOVE Island's Lucie Donlan and Luke Mabbott selflessly saved a family that were on the verge of being swept out to see.

A mum and her four young children, including a baby, got in to trouble last night as the tide came in on a Cornish beach.

Surfer Lucy managed to use her board to rescue the youngsters and help them back to the beach.

Reflecting on the incident afterwards, she wrote on Instagram: "Now the Lifeguards have gone please be careful out there on the beaches if your not familiar with it please.

"Luke and I had tohelp a family today from being cut off by the side that had 4 young kids and one was only a couple months old.

"The Tide was rushing in and if we weren't there, they would have been in big trouble.

"We had to wade/swim across and get the kids on my surfboard then help the mother and her baby across safely."

Lucie and Luke returned to their car on the beach to change out of their wetsuits and were happy with their day's work.

However, Lucie warned: "We were so glad everyone was safe, but I worry to think of this happening to another family that are not sure about how dangerous the ocean can be."

Lucie recently gave her fans a thrill as she stripped down to white bikini for sexy shoot.

The 22-year-old basked in the sun and showed off her stunning curves as she told her 1.7m Instagram fans: "Baby, don’t you know that you’re my golden hour…"

Lucie, from Newquay, Cornwall, is currently dating 2020 Love Islander Luke Mabbott.

In July she treated Luke to his first surf lesson though Lucie previously confessed that she was actually “not the best surfer”.

The Sun Online revealed in July that the pair had become an item after his romance with Demi Jones came to an end – and they started messaging.
