Love Island fans cant believe Liam is 21 but his sister has cute pics as proof

New boy Liam Reardon is turning heads already in the Love Island villa, but viewers can't believe that the hunky bricklayer is only 21-years-old.

He made the revelation while on a first date with Faye, who at 26-years-old was horrified by the age gap.

Many viewers couldn't believe it either, but Liam himself acknowledged many people mistake him for nearer to thirty.

It seems he's telling the truth though, as his doting sister Niamh shared a series of sweet throwback snaps to celebrate his 16th birthday.

As his older sister, Niamh did what any older sibling would and shared the most embarrassing pics she could find, back in 2015.

So the maths does add up – and Liam really is 21, and will be 22 in August.

In the adorable throwback pics, six foot six Liam can be seen towering over his sister in some of them.

One of the photos shows him in a tasteful novelty Christmas jumper, as Niamh is dressed as an elf.

He's also seen as a young boy posing with a cow, and another pic in a hot tub.

We're sure some of the girls in the villa would love to see these adorable throwback pics.

Niamh wrote under the pic: "A massive happy 16th birthday to my handsome little brother Liam.

"I can't believe you're 16 today, and I'm so proud of you. Hope you enjoy all your pressies and your amazing surprise of going to NEW YORK!"

"Love you millions" with a heart emoji.

Liam replied on the post at the time: "Thanks doll! Some stunner pics there, love you! x"

Liam and Niamh seem like close siblings, regularly sharing pics with one another.

They often add comments to the captions to confirm they are siblings, as friends often joke about them being mistaken for a couple.

So now Love Island fans have the proof, Liam really is 21.

There could be upset ahead as, before entering the villa, Liam said that he has his eye on stunning Kaz.

Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2
