Love Island beauty’s TV past revealed – as she appeared in another ITV hit | The Sun

LOVE Island star Lana Jenkins is no stranger to fame after previously appearing in hit ITV show Benidorm.

The stunning make-up artist, 25, was once an extra on the British sitcom when she lived in Spain as a child.

The comedy series followed a group of British holidaymakers as they soaked up the sun and spend their hard-earned cash on the Mediterranean coast.

Discussing her best-known claim to fame, Lana revealed that she was just six-years-old when she made her TV debut.

She said: "In my work as a makeup artist I’ve worked with lots of celebrities. Also, when I was 6-years-old I used to live in Spain and I was in an episode of Benidorm as an extra."

Lana will join hunky P.E teacher Kai Fagan and biomedical science student Tanya Manhenga, 22, in the South African manor house.

Speaking about finding romance on the show, she said: "I fall in love quickly. I tend to know quite soon if I could fall in love with that person and then, as long as everything is going well, I’ll probably tell them I love them in about a week."

And discussing what gives her the ick, Lana explained: "I don’t mind people texting me all the time but if you send me question marks if I’ve not replied to you in a while, you’re gone.

"That's a really big red flag for me! Also if I see a guy trip over, that's an instant turn off."

The first confirmed names come after new host Maya Jama touched down in South Africa over the weekend ready for the January 16 launch night.

Love Island bosses have scrapped the previous villa for this series and are putting the stars up in a luxury manor house.

The sprawling Love Island mansion is set in millionaire’s row in South Africa and features an enormous swimming pool and even the traditional fire-pit.

The property boasts an enormous pool set in a huge courtyard with a large sunbathing deck which will welcome the wannabes in January.

One night in the plush mansion costs upwards of £430 a night.

An insider said: “The villa is absolutely amazing, Maya is raring to go and this series’ contestants are looking to be the sexiest ever.

“It is a really exciting time for everyone who works on the show and they cannot wait to get started.”
