Lorraine Kelly tore into Meghan Markle’s outfit from her surprise appearance on The Ellen Show.
Meghan gave a surprise interview to Ellen DeGeneres, only announcing the special on Wednesday before airing the following day.
While many of Meghan’s critics found the interview meaningless and others questioned her choice of chat show following allegations of toxic behaviour, Lorraine had a big hang up on the former Suits star’s blouse.
Discussing the interview with showbiz correspondent Ross King, looking at a photo of Meghan, Lorraine said: ‘I’ll tell you what else has got people talking – it’s Meghan’s outfit.
‘I thought she looked absolutely stunning, although when you see it like that it looks like moths have been at her sleeves!
‘Big moths in the Ellen studio – you don’t get that here!’
Lorraine also wasn’t a fan of Meghan’s ‘pranks’ after she pretended to be a cat, comparing the skit to a below-par sketch from Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway.
‘I mean, fair play to her for going for it. But the reaction, usually, is when Ant and Dec do it, it’s the reaction of the public that’s really, really funny,’ she said.
‘But you can see they were so overawed, all of the people there, that they just went, “Yeah, yeah”, and weren’t reacting!’
She added: ‘But yeah, interesting. And I’m not sure but I think a lot of it is to do with that she really does want to promote her campaign for paid parental leave for people, so good on her for that, I guess.’
During the chat with Ellen, Meghan shared an update on baby Lilibet, who is now ‘teething’ and the pair laughed as they recalled Facetiming on Halloween.
Meghan also shared a rare photo of Archie, seen feeding his chickens.
Lorraine airs weekdays at 9am. Meghan’s interview with Ellen airs in the UK next Thursday on ITV2.
