I Hate Suzie will be released in full on Sky Atlantic and NOW TV very soon as Billie Piper returns to the screen in the unique comedy-drama. Ahead of its release, Express.co.uk has everything you need to know about the show as well as some insight from its stars.
How many episodes are in I Hate Suzie?
Billie Piper is returning to screens in a new series created by her and writer Lucy Prebble.
The new series is set to be released in full on Sky Atlantic and NOW TV on August 27.
In total, there will be eight episodes of the new series available to watch.
The Sky Original follows Suzie Pickles (played by Piper), an actor who has her life turned upside down when her phone is hacked.
Pictures of her in an intimate setting are then released on the internet as things start to unravel around her.
Over the series, Suzie deals with the aftermath of this alongside her best friend and manager Naomi (Leila Farzad).
Together they work to keep her career alive as well as her struggling marriage to Cob (Daniel Ings) together.
Each episode is titled after different emotions as its main character works through the stages of shock, denial, fear, shame, bargaining, guilt, anger and acceptance.
The series sees Piper and Prebble reunite after working together on the hit show Secret Diary of a Call Girl.
During a recent BAFTA press launch, Prebble opened up about how the pair came up with the story of the show.
Prebble told Express.co.uk and other media how she and Piper were keen to work together again when she had an idea.
She explained: “I was thinking and chatting about never having actually found out what happened in the case of a lot of the women who had their iPads hacked.
“A number of years ago it was huge and really devastating, massive and upsetting – and yet nothing consequentially seemed to be in the news after that.

“I started to think, ‘Well what would that be like if your whole life exploded through these images?’ And that’s where the idea came from.”
Piper also revealed how she was drawn to the role in order to try and work out what something like this could do to a person.
She added: “The hack was a great way to unmask this woman and this character.
“It certainly chimed with a lot of conversations that Lucy and I had been having about your late 20s and early 30s being this sort of rude awakening.
“And how quite often in certainly a lot of conversations I’ve had with my friends, a common theme seems to be, ‘I don’t know who I really am.”
All eight episodes will be airing in double-bills weekly on Sky Atlantic at 9.45pm on Thursdays.
As well as this, subscribers will be able to watch it on the NOW TV streaming platform.
Fans wanting to try the series can do this with a seven-day free trial to the platform.
After this, an Entertainment Pass costs £7.99 per month for viewers to enjoy the content.
