Helen Flanagan ‘planning Coronation Street return’ after split from Scott Sinclair

Helen Flanagan is reportedly planning a big return Coronation Street – the soap that made her a household name – after 'splitting' from footballer fiancé Scott Sinclair.

The 32 year old played wayward Rosie Webster on the show from 2000 to 2012, before reprising the role in 2017 and then going on maternity leave on 2018 when pregnant with her second child Delilah.

She didn't return to the show, as she focused on raising her three children with fiancé Scott Sinclair, who she is now said to have split from.

The pair share three children, Matilda, seven, Delilah, four, and one year old son Charlie, and Helen put her career on hold to focus on family life, as she and the children moved around the country, following Scott's football career.

Now that they've split, with neither of them featuring on the other's social media for several months now, Helen is said to be keen on reviving her acting career by returning to her beloved role on Corrie.

A source told The Sun: "Helen's talking about plans to return – not this year, but maybe late next year.

"Bosses have made it clear they'd welcome her back and she sees the soap cast as family.

"She misses them, and playing Rosie, a lot."

Helen and Scott are reported to have called time on their relationship after being together for 13 years, and Helen has been spotted out and about without her engagement ring in recent weeks.

Neither of them have confirmed that they have split, however, nor have they denied the rumours.

Helen, who is very spiritual, is said to have seen her engagement ring "randomly snapping" as a "bad omen" before the split, leaving her seeking the guidance and advice of a psychic medium.

Scott recently broke his silence after the reports of them splitting, as he took to Instagram to share a sweet snap of himself and their children, as he captioned the post with three black heart emojis.

Scott proposed to Helen in 2018, the same year she gave birth to their second child, Delilah, whilst they enjoyed a holiday in Disneyland Paris.

The couple had been planning their wedding for 2024, as the venue they selected could only accommodate them in two years time.

Alongside wedding planning, Scott and Helen also purchased their dream family home in 2021 with Scott surprising his fiancé with the property.

Speaking to OK!about the move back in December 2021, Helen revealed that Scott had surprised her with their “forever home” after he’d pretended it had been sold.

She said: “It’s a house I’ve always really wanted and Scott surprised me with it. With Scott’s career, we’ve always moved a lot and rented, so to now have our own house is amazing… We’re so happy.”
