GRAND Designs viewers were all left in awe at a couple who had no previous building experience completed a stunning home.
The Channel 4 show, fronted by Kevin McCloud, featured Ed and Vicky, who moved to Somerset from London in 2015.
Aiming for a quieter life in the countryside away from the hustle and bustle of the city, they purchased a 1940s cowshed with the aim to turn it into an insulated home with a Pilates studio for Vicky.
Ed, a private chef, had no prior experience but was determined to make the house, the perfect home for himself and Vicky.
Despite finding the prospect of Ed using purely knowledge from internet research, Pilates instructor Vicky, insisted she had faith and admitted Ed ‘loved a challenge’.
It soon became clear that Ed was perfect for the job as host Kevin remarked: "He's slipped effortlessly into this role as master builder.
