Ed Sheeran and other famous faces surprise Loose Women for 20th anniversary

The Loose Women celebrated their 20th anniversary today – and they were joined by some very famous faces to help celebrate the milestone.

Pop sensation Ed Sheeran was among a host of celebrities wishing the Loose Women a happy birthday.

As part of the special show, nearly all the current Loose Women were in the studio and took turns sitting on the panel.

And for the first time ever the four anchors, Christine Lampard, Kaye Adams, Ruth Langsford and Andrea McLean were all on the desk together.

Brenda Edwards got a shock when Ed, who is friends with her son Jamal Edwards, popped up on the screen.

Speaking on video, Ed said: "Hey Brenda, Jamal just told me it's Loose Women's 20th birthday so happy 20th birthday to Loose Women and congratulations on everything you guys are achieving.

"Lots of love to all of you you're all fantastic."

Ed wasn't the only famous face to send a special message to the loose ladies on the show's 20th birthday.

There were well wishes from This Morning's Phillip and Holly, Good Morning Britain's Richard Arnold and Lorraine Kelly.

GMB's Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid also had some kind words for the Loose Women.

Although Piers disputed that they were the greatest show on air as he claimed GMB was the nation's favourite.

Stacey Solomon also returned for the first time with three-month-old baby Rex, who looked just like dad Joe Swash.

The adorable baby loved the camera and his adorable smile sent viewers into meltdown on Twitter .

Unfortunately, Coleen Nolan, Gloria Hunniford and Janet Street-Porter were unable to make the party but sent in video messages.

For the grand finale, the Loose Women took part in a big quiz covering the last 20 years of the show.

Carol McGiffin fell to the floor after getting a massive hug from Mr Blobby while blindfolded.

Then singers Stacey, Denise Welch, Brenda Edwards Kéllé Bryan got up to perform 'Thank You For Being A Friend'.
