Viewers may remember him pushing Kush in front of an oncoming train at the Walford tube station.
Reeling from the shock of the news, Whitney shares everything she knows with the Slaters – just as Martin (played by James Bye) walks in.
Although it was rocked by many dramatic storylines and explosive fights, both Kush (portrayed by Holby City star Davood Ghadami) and Martin shared a friendship.
News that Kush was actually murdered by Gray considerably shock Martin and, soon, he decides to get avenge his friend.

While Chelsea Fox (Zaraah Abrahams) leaves home to find her son Jordan, who is back at the hospital, her aunt Kim (Tameka Empson), her mother Denise (Diane Parish) and Patrick Trueman (Rudolph Walker) share their own shock after Gray's downfall.
But their conversation is abruptly interrupted when bricks start flying through the window.
Martin is on the other side of the window, blinded with rage, and is adamant on making Chelsea pay for Kush's murder… until Whitney intervenes.
Despite her heartbreak after finding out her other half was killed, Whitney tries to calm a fuming Martin down and reminds him that Kush's death had nothing to do with Chelsea.

Chelsea and Gray weren't romantically involved until the summer of 2021, after the beautician publicly scolded the lawyer's daughter Mia.
Kush was murdered on April 19, 2021, after Gray had nurtured an unhealthy obsession with Whitney and wanted to stop her from leaving the Square for Dubai.
Gray eventually proposed to Chelsea upon learning that she was pregnant – after being somewhat involved with Whitney.
Whitney decided to end things with Gray when she caught a glimpse of his anger issues, before finding out he killed Chantelle and setting out to expose him.
But will she be able to make Martin see sense?
