DEBBIE Webster is returning to Coronation Street for the first time since 1985.
The trouble making sister of mechanic Kevin Webster is going to make an explosive comeback to Weatherfield later this year, according to the Metro.
Actress Sue Devaney will return to the soap for the role that she last played 34 years ago.
She is going to film a handful of episodes to be broadcast later this year that will see her make her cobbles comeback before dropping a bombshell on Kevin and his family.
Only appearing in a handful of episodes, Debbie made an impression on viewers and has been mentioned multiple times over the years.
Debbie was last seen leaving Weatherfield with dad Bill and his new wife Elaine for a life in Southampton and a new job at her own beauty salon.
She has been mentioned repeatedly over the years and Kevin has been to stay with her down south, most notably when he and Sally split and she went on to marry Danny Hargreaves in 2001.
In 2010 she was contacted by Kevin to find out if a missing Sophie had travelled to Southampton to stay with her.
She later called Kevin to tell him that she had bought a villa in Turkey and invited her brother to stay with her for a while and bring then baby Jack for a holiday.
Sue is best known to viewers as fan-favourite Jane from Victoria Wood's classic sitcom Dinnerladies and has enjoyed an illustrious career on stage since departing the soap.
It was recently revealed that Debbie won't be the only familiar face returning to the cobbles with actress Angela Griffin making a brief comeback as Fiona Middleton to drop her own news on daughter Emma Brooker.
