Christine McGuinness has hit back at claims at recent coverage surrounding her marriage, responding with an honest answer about her and comedian Paddy McGuinness' relationship.

Christine sat down on ITV's Lorraine on Tuesday morning (July 12) with Carol Voderman, who's standing in for Lorraine.

When asked about the press about her relationship, Christine explained how long marriages like hers and Paddy's go through "ups and downs".

The couple have been together for 15 years but have recently faced difficulties. Christine's Instagram has been filled with cryptic messages about "believing in what you deserve," after a chat with The Sun where she revealed she'd no longer put up with what she used to.

"What I might have put up with in the past, I probably wouldn't put up with now, and the same for him."

Christine revealed the pair are currently "dealing with things privately as possible", with their kids being the main focus.

She went on to explain the reality of the situation, admitting it won't always be "plain sailing."

However, Christine reassured viewers about their relationship, confirming the couple would be jetting off on a family holiday next week.

"We're going away on a family holiday next week," she revealed, "and we're really excited about it."

Christine appeared on Lorraine to promote her tell-all book, 'A Beautiful Nightmare', where she opens up about previous marital difficulties, motherhood and her autism diagnosis.
