Chloe Sims confirms she hasn't been axed from Towie as she shares sweet message to departing cast

CHLOE Sims has confirmed she will return to The Only Way Is Essex.

The Sun exclusively reported that bosses of the ITVBe show have axed at least ten of their cast members as the show undergoes its biggest shake-up ever.

The reality star, 38 – who has been on the reality programme since 2011 – cleared up any rumours that she might have been leaving during a recent Q&A on Instagram.

One fan asked: "Are you still on Towie x."

Chloe replied: "Lots of questions about this… Yes I'm still filming Towie no plans to leave."

"Wishing the departing cast good luck with their futures & looking forward to filming the new series next month."

Chloe's sisters and her sisters Demi and Frankie, as well as Liam Blackwell, also known as Gatsby, have also managed to secure their place on the show.

An ITV source said: “With an ever-growing cast of characters it was becoming hard to give the audience any real insight into the lives of those involved.

“Producers want the show to go back to how it used to be at the start where the audience saw much more of each character’s backstory and what they get up to.

“The bigger the cast, the less screen time each gets. They want to flip that round again and give less more.

The bosses felt it was the right time to make a big change

“Obviously that means some big names are out which is upsetting, but the bosses felt it was the right time to make a big change.

“Those who have been told they won’t be returning as regulars will be given support in the future as they have done with previous cast members who have moved on.”

It has been revealed that some of those who have been given the boot are Harry Derbidge, 27, Tom McDonnell, 24, Courtney Green, 26, and Chloe Meadows, 28.

Harry joined the show in on the first series back in 2010, left two years later and then rejoined the cast in 2020.

Best pals Chloe and Courtney have been involved in some of the programme's most dramatic storylines over the past five years – and they're "devastated" about the news.

Meanwhile Tom has been on our screens since 2019.

The MailOnline have also reported that Harry Lee, 26, Kelsey Stratford, 20, and Clelia Theodorou, 26, are also likely to leave, but Chloe Brockett, 20, is waiting to find out her fate.

The likes of Amy Childs, 31, Amber Turner, 28, and James Lock, 34, are said also said to be safe.

Last night The Sun exclusively revealed that Pete Wicks has been saved from the chop by bosses, but Nicole Boss didn't make the cut.

The show also took to their official Instagram page to address their decision.

It says: "Those who won’t appear regularly on screen next series will always be part of the TOWIE family and we wholeheartedly thank them for sharing their lives with us in recent years ❤️.

"As always, their wellbeing is of paramount importance to us and we will continue to offer welfare support if needed to all past and present TOWIE cast.

"We ask and urge all our viewers to think before commenting below, and remember that."remember that #thesepeopleareallreal.

"Thank you to our audience for your continued support. TOWIE will be back soon for it’s 29th series on ITVBe, stay tuned for further announcements.”

Chloe joined Towie during the second series back in 2011 as OG cast member Joey Essex's cousin.

The telly star has become a firm favourite with fans and has been involved in a number of juicy storylines.

Her most recent has involved her secret sexual two-year relationship with best pal Pete Wicks.
