SALLY Nugent struggled to remain poised on BBC Breakfast after she broke out into hysterics over the 'ugliest dog in Britain'.
BBC Breakfast descended into chaos as Sally struggled to keep her composure during an interview with the pooch which had been entered into a contest to find Britain's ugliest dog.
Alongside co-host Jon Kay, Sally welcomed Peggy, a Chinese Crested and Pug cross into the studio.
Jon informed the viewers at home: "This is four-year-old Peggy, she is a Pug and a Chinese Crested cross and she is in the running for that title.
"She joins us now with her owner Holly Middleton, good morning Holly, good morning to you Peggy."
Sally showed an early sign of the giggles as she remarked: "Oh Peggy come on! I feel bad about this because Peggy is beautiful in her own way."

Speaking of entering her beloved pet into such a contest, owner Holly told Sally and Jon: "I think she is beautiful. I think she has a cute little face but I am aware other people don't always think she is the cutest."
She continued: "A lot of my friends and family sent me screenshots and tagged me in posts.
"And I just sent her picture in and didn't really think anything of it and then I got told a couple of days ago she is in the top seven, so we find out next week I think."
Holly rescued the pup alongside her family after discovering she was the only dog left in the litter to not find a home.

Sally questioned whether Holly was proud to have the 'ugliest dog' as she struggled to keep herself together.
Peggy's most notable feature was her dropping tongue which Jon could not take his eyes off.
As Jon brought it up by saying: "The tongue," Sally became even more chaotic as she could be seen holding up a set of newspapers to cover her face and hide her increasing laughter in the hilarious scenes.
Holly explained: "It doesn't cause her any issues, she can eat, she can drink, she can do everything it is just there. She can get it in her mouth, but it just doesn't stay there."
Embracing her funny side, Sally could not stop laughing at her own joke as she exclaimed: "Maybe that is what she thinks about Jon!"
Realising Sally had lost it completely, Jon attempted to carry on the interview himself.
Having just about regained her composure, the hosts viewed the other dogs in the running for the crown which sent Sally spiralling once more.
Sally could be heard giggling and sniffling as she continued to remain in hysterics.
Addressing the elephant in the room, Jon finally asked Sally if she was okay as she continued to laugh and struggle to get her words out.
Jon asked her: "Are you alright Sal?
