'Bachelor in Paradise' Is Being Hosted by a Buncha Celebs—Including David Spade?!

Last night while everyone was minding their own business, Page Six dropped a casual report that David Spade is hosting at least part of Bachelor in Paradise this season as Chris Harrison continues to take time away from the franchise. In case you’re in a state of ??? at this David news, please note that he’s a Bachelor super fan, and a source tells Page Six that “the producers want to put some fun in the show. They think it’s become too serious.” David’s actually known for obsessing over The Bachelor and The Bachelorette on his Instagram, and once told Jimmy Kimmel “I like it all. I just make fun of whatever’s in front of me.”

According to multiple sources, the actor is just one of several rotating celebs who will guest host the show, and the rest of the names haven’t been revealed as of yet. News of his hosting comes after Chris Harrison stepped away from the show following comments he made to Rachel Lindsay on Extra, in which he defended Rachael Kirkconnell’s past racist actions. Chris was replaced by Tayshia Adams and Kaitlyn Bristowe for Katie Thurston’s upcoming Bachelorette season, and it remains to be seen whether he’ll return to the franchise in the future.

Us Weekly reports that David Spade will host Bachelor in Paradise for two weeks of filming. TBD on what other ~celeb fans~ of Bachelor Nation ABC will bring to the table, but can’t wait to find out. Either way, Bachelor in Paradise is set to premiere on Monday, August 16, at 8 p.m. ET.
